Sometimes the simplest recipes are the best. This Fresh Cream Salad Dressing is the perfect example. It takes just 4 ingredients, uses one bowl, can be made in less than a minute, and is more delicious and far superior and to any supermarket bottled cream dressing you can buy.
Begin by carefully washing and drying your greens. I find that crisp greens, such as Romaine or French Crisp Lettuce, work best with Fresh Cream Salad Dressing. Tear the greens into bite-sized pieces. I also like to add sliced cucumber and grape or cherry tomatoes
In a salad bowl (preferably wooden) whisk together the vinegar and the salt until the salt is dissolved. (Adjust the salt if a teaspoon is too much for you.)
Add the heavy cream. The amount will depend on how vinegary you want the dressing to be and how much dressing you need. You can start with the smaller amount, then add more as necessary. Grind on fresh pepper to taste.
Whisk vigorously until the dressing starts to thicken.
Add all the vegetables to the Fresh Cream Dressing and toss until they a well coated.
